Major repair of the bridge over the Desna River on the M-01 “Kyiv – Chernihiv – Novi Yarylovychi” highway section in Chernihiv region

One of the projects in our portfolio is the comprehensive engineering consulting services provided by the company during the reconstruction of the M-01 Kyiv – Chernihiv – Novi Yarylovychi extra-class bridge over the Desna River in Chernihiv Region, which was destroyed at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

During the reconstruction of this facility, our specialists provided recommendations on the use of new materials that had hardly been used before the war. One example is high-strength polymer concrete for the pavement areas near expansion joints.

This material was tested in LLC ENGINEERING CORP.’s own laboratory. All necessary tests were also carried out, confirming the high quality and reliability of the polymer concrete and its compliance with the declared specifications.

The company’s project office specialists provided recommendations for restoring the bridge pier columns with partial dismantling. This made it possible to reduce the project implementation period by 3 months in accordance with the construction work schedule developed in the Primavera software package.

This allowed traffic to be restored on one of the reconstructed parts of the bridge without stopping work on the other part, which significantly improved the transport infrastructure situation in the region.

Today, the bridge has been fully reconstructed and is fully operational. We believe that modern, high-quality road and transport infrastructure is the foundation for the future economic development of our country.
